Handling Disappointment

Disappointment is an inevitable part of home-based business. Clients won?t pay, bids fall through, or business associates don’t come through on their promises or act unethically.

Some people will deliberately foster cynicism in their consciousness as a way of avoiding the pain of disappointment. This is mistaken as a means of making life better. Disappointment is a temporary condition. Cynicism is a long term poisoning sickness. Neither is necessary; but until the addiction to cynicism is broken, the attraction of positive events in life is greatly inhibited. Thus there is a cycle of disappointment and cynicism. Let go of that negativity and let the good in.

Cynicism is the result of frustrated anger. We have failed to give ourselves permission to own our anger about some life event, by telling ourselves that we should have known better in the first place. This allows no space to express or release the anger, and a cycle can be set up of trying to avoid the same situation from occurring again. So, we will say “I knew it,” or some version of that as a form of defense against this internalized anger.

A better attitude to take is one of realism. We must accept that it?s alright to be angry, to know that life is not supposed to go badly. We must acknowledge that the world does not always reward people on the basis of our merits and go on from there. Nothing will change for the better unless we want it to and take concrete steps to make this happen. Cynicism deprives us of the energy we need to make things better for ourselves and the rest of the world.

Make Your Dreams Reachable

All too often, we may be envisioning a level of success, which is far beyond what we can realistically accept and thus fall short of full manifestation.

However, if we can envision a period of time in which our success can gradually increase, quite often our subconscious can more easily accept it. However, allowing ourselves to get comfortably accustomed to a steadily increasing flow of abundance in our lives tends to stabilize it for us.

We’ve all heard stories about people who won the lottery and promptly lose it. This is a problem with acceptance. Simply, it was too much, too fast. It is far rarer to hear of someone who steadily and consistently increases his or her income losing it. Because the subconscious mind has time to grow familiar with the experience of steadily increasing abundance, there is no need to sabotage the process. Another problem is the subconscious mind’s “believability factor.? It is far easier for the subconscious to swallow this new approach to success a small piece at a time. Allowing the process to occur in simple steps permits the Universe to cooperate solidly, with substance. This is because the subconscious can grasp the change more solidly and with greater substance.

Being gentle with yourself in your success work is very important in gaining success. Doing violence to your own inner logic accomplishes nothing. Stretch yourself of course, but allow it to be a natural growth process.

Parable for a New Age

Daddy was a very, very odd little man?possibly a schizophrenic?for all we could figured out. He was a short stony-faced man that rarely smiled or talked very much.

His Norweigan/Dutch family had endured quite a bit of disaster?wiped out in a storm in Iceland, and then wiped out in the dust bowl. He grew up in a part of California that just had been frontier 40 years prior. He was stern, stubborn rugged individualist and believed that everyone is responsible for themselves. Daddy had no use for religion. He was a doctor, a scientist, who believed that the human body was basically a machine to be fixed up and mended so that it could back to go to work in the orchards, fast food joints, and canneries of the great Central Valley we lived.

Daddy spent most of his time out in the garage. Daddy?s 2-car garage was a dark huge dusty cavern full of everything under the sun?baby strollers from the 1960, a bullet-loading machine, duck waders for trudging through rice paddies, hunting rifles, boxes of bullets, long board skis, lawn mowers, and big clunky snow shoes strewed everywhere. On the rafters overhead, there was many cardboard boards and wooden crate boxes. No one knew what was in the rafters. Daddy never told anyone what was in his garage, so we had to make up own stories. As my sister said, ?There could have been a dead person for all we knew out in the garage.?

As the years wore on, the world around Daddy changed. Sikhs moved into town. Computers replaced adding machines. Long skis became obsolete. Daddy?s garage seemed odder and out-of-place whenever we opened the garage door. In 2000, when Daddy died, we cleaned out the garage and threw everything out on the street. Nowadays, people don?t hunt, ski with long skis, or use adding machines. I passed the house recently. An East Indian family have moved in. The garage is open and airy. Children are playing in the sunlight.

Any discussion of enterprise or prosperity must take place in the context that we are going through a very, very radical worldwide change that will affect every aspect of society, including religion, politics, ethics, etc.Basically, one World is giving way to another World. You have heard the term ?New World Order,? the ?Age of Aquarius?, the ?New Age? used to describe this paradigm shift. Some yogis call it Dwapara Yuga, a 2400-age of Energy. This paradigm shift is not new, but, rather, have been going on in some form for the last 200 years since the Enlightenment.. This evolution is taking many manifestations: globalism, multiculturism, interracial marriages, the ecumenical movement in religions, affirmative actions, and will continue until the whole society has been completely transformed.

What are the concepts embodied in this vision

Old World New World
Analog Digital
Mechanical Computer
Matter Energy
Nationalism Globalism (One World)
Competition Cooperation
Secrecy Openness of Information
Hierachial Democractic
Man as Master of the Man as Part of the Environment
Environment
Racial Segregation Racial Integration
Cultural Separation Cultual Integration
Distinct Gender Role Definitions	Gender Role up to Individual
Rules and Regulations Experimental Approach
9 to 5 Job Entrepeunership
Accepting Facts as Given Critical Inquiry
Justice Compassion
Intolerance Tolerance
Income Inequality Sharing of Resources
Individualism Community
Many Religions Religious Tolerance
Theory Experience
Private Property Stewardship over Property

The list goes on. The goal of every business in this New World is to bring this New World consciousness to everyone. However, there are a lot of challenges on the way ?

How to Optimize the Awesome Power of Thoughts and Imagination

Have you encountered a time when you were in a traffic jam and was running late for an important meeting? Did you stay calm and focused? Or did your mind wander into the dark side of the impending consequences that may occur.

If you’re always picturing people getting mad at you and thinking of negative outcomes, then your body suffers as well. You may experience chest pains, anxiety disorders, indigestion, and other health problems. Why worry when you can’t do anything about the situation? Moreover, you don’t even know yet what will happen yet. Both good and bad things happen unexpectedly. Why bother to worry? It’s just not worth it.

Your mind directly influences your body’s capabilities and reactions; so if you always project negative thoughts and images in your mind, your body suffers as well. But if you always think of positive and enthusiastic stuffs, your body will react positively too.

The mind is an absolute powerhouse, a dream granter, and goal achiever, all rolled into one. But do you know how to optimize it for best performance?

Many times we’ve heard people say that “If you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.”

That is so true. But do you know exactly how to use your thoughts in reaching what you desire to achieve?

They say affirmations work. Yes, they do. But the results might be minimal and might not turn out according to your expectations.

Do you want to know a method that is much more powerful? What I’m going to tell you is a technique that is so effective in itself; that if you combine it with affirmations, then you possess one of the deadliest combos of self-improvement.

Want to know the secret? Here it is.

Visualize images. It’s as simple as that. Our mind communicates with our body using images. You know that the thought of people getting angry with you can negatively affect your health. Otherwise, picturing yourself relaxing at your favorite vacation spot can ease some of your stress. Take this exercise.

Imagine the juiciest whole piece of fried chicken right in front of you. You can smell its tempting aroma. You sliced it into pieces and heard the crispy crunching sound. Picture yourself taking a large bite and enjoying the gastronomic experience. Did that made your mouth water? Did that made you hungry? Images are very powerful and can be used to improve your health, attain your goals, and achieve anything that you put your mind into.

For instance, you’re a burn victim. You have a wound that is quite agonizing. Don’t just say, “Hey, burn wound. Get out of my skin.” Picture it in your mind getting smaller and smaller. Visualize it melting and vanishing into thin air.

You may imagine the wound itself healing miraculously, or you may designate any object of your choice to represent that wound. For example, you visualize a black stone as a symbol of your illness. Imagine that object shrinking and disintegrating slowly. As you’re thinking of this, feel your wound and all negative forces simultaneously going along with the action of the black stone. Let them become smaller and smaller until they have ceased to exist.

So which technique is better - imagining the real thing or assigning a representational object to it? It all depends on you. Pick and apply the method that you are more comfortable with, the one that you are more inclined to think and visualize upon.

But it’s not as easy as you think. Practice makes perfect. One way you can optimize the power of imagination is by becoming more observant and meticulous. If you’re going to use a certain flower in your visualization, go to the park and become a keen observer of that flower. Touch it. Smell it. Feel its texture. The more senses involved, the more powerful your visualization will become.

Visualization can be a very powerful tool in getting what you want in life. Practice and apply it often. You’ll be amazed at the results.
